Hey. The former Disney storyboard artist, animator and children's book author Bill Peet wrote a story called "Cappy-Boppy" where he and his family tried to raise a pet Capybara in the early 1960s. The critter discovered a tire covering it's favorite mud wallow one day, and would sit in the center of the obstructing rubber doughnut looking somewhat dejected.
