Apollo, Jamu, and Aura journeyed throughout the whole of Batron in search of their respective destinies. Although Aura had largely come to understand what her heart was searching for, she had yet to find it. That was until they came across an old, run down, fishing village.
This village, which existed at the Northwestern part of Batron was once the home of many miners who knew the nearby mountains and caves to be loaded with various sorts of valuable metals and gems. However, over mining left the town a mere shadow of its once prosperous self as many buildings were either run down and unoccupied.
The townsfolk were most happy to greet Jamu and her friends. They even offered them a free stay in their finest, and only, inn. It was while enjoying a delicious, fish dinner in the inn’s tavern that they heard a massive explosion that brought them to rush outside.
Once outside, they saw smoke coming from a nearby building. Being the heroic adventurers they were, Jamu, Apollo, and Aura rushed to the aid who may ever be trapped inside. It was here that they met a young, fox by the name of TJ.
TJ was coughing as he and his family exited the house. Apparently everything was okay and that this wasn’t the first time he had made a bit of a mess out of the house. Further discussion revealed that TJ was quite gifted in the sciences and that he was determined to find ways in which those who couldn’t use magic could through the miracle of science. The only trouble was that there were no advanced schools or universities or even mentors who could help him refine his scientific techniques anywhere near, or around, his town.
TJ, upon learning Jamu and her friends were adventurers, inquired if they had ever came across a raichu by the name of Renris. He had heard tales of a young prodigy, like himself, who was gifted in metal working and who, he felt, could help him a lot in becoming the best scientific mind to ever grace the Further Realms.
Jamu mentioned how, while in the port city of Ifford, they had actually met Renris and would be more than happy to take TJ to him. Especially since they were still riding the horses they had rented from Renris’ family and felt it was time to return them and move on to another land in search of their destinies.
After some talking with TJ’s folks, they agreed to let their son travel to Ifford to pursue his dream. This elated TJ as he promised to bring fame and fortune back to their once prosperous town through his collaborative efforts with the amazing Renris.
The next day, Jamu and Apollo rode to TJ’s house. He was already ready to go and had a backpack filled with supplies he knew would help him when he met Renris. However, where was Aura?
This question was soon answered as the scythe-wielding wolf rode up to the house and announced that she wasn’t going to join them on their journey.
When asked why Aura was not going to accompany them, she answered that destiny had brought her to this simple town and that it was here her heart felt it belonged. She then hopped off of her horse, lifted TJ onto it, and told him to never give up on finding his destiny.
After many heartfelt goodbyes, Jamu, Apollo, and TJ rode off on the long journey back to Ifford. Along the way, TJ shared with Jamu and Apollo his conceptual ideas for creating magic through mixtures of chemicals and natural plants and herbs. He further shared how he deeply hoped to master “Time Magic” as he knew it would be key to ensuring his hometown wouldn’t have gotten forgotten as a result of being overmined and subsequently forgotton.
Upon reaching Ifford, TJ was amazed at how advanced the city was. He was even further awed at the number of universities and libraries that existed all about the city. Truly, he had found where he could complete his destiny.
After trekking through town, they came upon the large stable in which Renris helped to maintain along with his family. Like before, they found the young raichu busily trying to repair a carriage with “some minor modifications”.
TJ was awestruck to meet the raichu he had heard word of through those who would travel from Ifford to his town on the horses Renris’ family would lend out. Logically, this meant TJ was quick to introduce himself to the raichu and ask if he may be able to assist him in his “slight modifications” to the carriage he was repairing.
At first, Renris didn’t know what to make of the young fox, who was actually about the same age as he was. However, the look in TJ’s eyes convinced Renris this fox meant business and, as such, handed him a wrench to help him get to doing what he intended to do. The shared effort got even better as TJ and Renris would constantly go back-and-forth on ways in which Renris’ “slight modifications” could be even better.
When Renris’ family showed up to see how the carriage repair was going, they were amazed to see the young fox working with their son and the amazing job they did in quickly repairing it. This is when Jamu stepped forward, paid for their extended use of the horses, and noted how TJ was from a fishing village to the North and had long wished the chance to work alongside their son to further his scientific endeavors.
Being attentive youngsters, TJ and Renris rushed forward and pleaded that the fox could stay. After all, for Renris, he had never met anyone who had such a strong mind in the sciences who could help him with his mechanics. It was a match made in heaven and, as such, Renris’ family couldn’t help but say, “Yes” with the stipulation that, like Renris, TJ attend the local school for the gifted to keep up on the latest advances in math, science, and other worldly affairs. They also insisted he make his keep by being a stable boy and cleaning up the stables and washing the horses that would ultimately be leant out to travelers like Jamu and Apollo.
These requirements were nothing for TJ to agree to. After all, he would be living and working with Renris! With any luck, between going to an advanced school and working with the raichu, he could perfect his scientific magic and, ultimately, build the time machine he had long dreamed would be the solution to his village’s current, enpoverished state.
The time eventually came for Apollo and Jamu to go. However, before they left, Jamu offered TJ and Renris the Dream Stone they had received while on their adventures with Lance, Ozzie, and Tavi in the magical mansion that connected the real world with that of the Dingus Duck’s. Apollo was surprised that Jamu would make such a gesture. However, Jamu explained that if anyone could figure out what it was capable of, it was those two.
TJ and Renris eagerly accepted the stone and it wasn’t long before both their minds began to turn on how to begin their work on it. They then shared some farewell hugs and informed Jamu and Apollo that, if they returned to Ifford, they’d have a “Surprise waiting for them.”.
Despite no longer having Aura at their side, Jamu and Apollo were determined to do their best as a team to uncover their destinies. So, the two hopped a ship heading South through the Sea of Parsons in hopes of finding a land in which their every answer could be found. After all, if Aura could find her destiny, so could they.

*Giggles* Yep, yep! Renris actually had a cameo in Creative Campaign 2. However, it felt great knowing I could match him up with TJ. I feel their character talents would mesh beautifully to create all sorts of wonderful fun.
Now, *shudders* if Zee-Zee were to meet up with them... Oh, golly what mischief they'd get into... :)

Oh, he will. :) Though, that's another segment of story that will come in time. :)
I hope you enjoyed how I brought your character into the Creative Campaign. Friendship is always a HUGE driver in my writing and, as we are pals, I couldn't help but be inspired to find a way to put you into a story. :) Especially as, like I told Ozzie, TJ and Renris' abilities are so compatible. Toss in Zee-Zee and there would be non-stoppable Think Tank of power! :)
