Fox McCloud is strapped in tightly to the chair, feet extended and clutched tightly to the metal surface. A small blade slowly makes it's way towards him....is he about to get tortured? Actually...no, he's getting amputated.
Why? well because of the theory that back in the original games, the Starfox team had metal legs/feet.
This is the reason:
“Legless pilots can handle more Gs than their legged bretherin. When gravity forces blood from the brain to lower extremities, it causes the pilot to black out. But if you have no legs to force blood to, more blood can stay in the brain, and it’s easier for the heart to pump blood back to the brain."
“Their legs were probably voluntarily amputated as these are all trained pilots. Their futuristic society allows for prosthetics that allows them to walk and run normally so there’s no loss in performing these amputations.”
Thankfully, in recent games, that's no longer the case, as their footwear now looks more like regular boots instead of metal prosthetics. yippie, so that means we can still enjoy some Fox feet
Kind of a Dark, cruel turn from my usual happy, tickle drawings, but sometimes I like a little dark humor, especially since Fox is conscious during the amputation and General Pepper just says "Good Luck", not really having any sympathy
This is my first time doing a strictly pencil-based picture so I put in a lot of work in the shading and light into this, still not the greatest, and even certain things like Fox's eyes and the way I drew General Pepper bothers me. But I appreciate critiques, tell me what you think. Thanks for checking out my stuff

Woah, I thought this was a tickle pic at first...! X'D That is dark, haha. But creative. I always wondered that about the pointy metal boots. (Sadly Krystal had her sandals replaced with full boots, sigh)
Still, very nice use of perspective, good work on the paws :P and man...this is certainly a dark take on Gen. Pepper. x'D
