Heeeere's-Toni!
Another of my Spontooniverse characters. Toni Pantera teamed up with Rosie Palmer (aka Rosie Baumgartner) just after WWI to form the vaudeville act "Rosie and Toni," singing and playing piano across the country.
In 1922, Rosie and Toni figured out that burlesque paid MUCH better, and became the touring act "Spots and Stripes Forever". This enabled them to retire in 1930 or so to pursue acting careers on the West Coast. A series of odd incidents (yet to be retold) wound up with the friends fetching up on the Spontoon Islands, tending bar at the Double Lotus.
Though both Rosie and Toni have an eye for the ladies, they never had a relationship. As Rosie put it, "Nah. It'd be like sleeping with your sister."
In the current Spontoon story arc, Toni has fallen for (and married) Pierre duCleds, Les' uncle and patriarch of the duCleds clan...
