A frequently asked question among philosophers is "What would happen if God sneezed, like, all over the place?" Xy, the merry merfox you see before you, is oft thought to be the answer.
Turned from garden-variety vulpe to fish-tailed foxy by ritualistic ruins and monuments most magical, Xy left the land of the legged behind some time ago, and took to exploring the oceans.
Astonished glances are something he's grown somewhat accustomed to (he keeps them in a jar and feeds them daily), as can be plainly seen on the face of Naeyon, the young Foxbat here.
...Don't know what he's looking at, really. Them wings aren't any more commonplace than fins. ;3

One doth indeed. ;3
Xy may be a Merfox, but I've always enjoyed a fascination with nagas, and their like (I adore snakes). A friend of mine, RyClmn, introduced me to the serpentine side of things, you see, so it'ssssss a pleasure to meet you! (I've written a story of my own for him on the subject of nagas, actually. And yes, I noticed your icon -- lookin' good! ;D)

You're lucky I came back here to notice this miss-replied comment. *smirks*
Yesss, I saw that you had recently posted a snakey story for my fellow serpent and acquaintance, Ray. I figured I should read it, but I haven't yet.
Also, I may be a naga, but I've always harboured a fascination (read: obsession) with merfolk of all kinds. (Just do an FA search of 'amethystine mermaid' to see resulting combinations of the two topics) Although, perhaps you already knew that.
And really, why did you call me a 'celebrated storyteller'?

Ack! I've had trouble with the comment thing before -- I hit Reply, but the reply doesn't register. >.<
To be truthful, I was hoping you would perhaps take a look. I called you a 'celebrated storyteller' because... well, you're a well-known naga around these parts, I do believe? And it only takes a quick glance at your profile to know writing is where you excel! It's a passion of mine, too, though I often wonder whether I've yet found my feet (fins?) with the craft.
Speaking of passions, I agree with you entirely about merfolk. You aren't the only one who's downright obsessed with them, or with nagas! I've always adored creatures of their sort~ ;}===>

You already mentioned your fascination with snakes/nagas, that's what I was mirroring with my comment about mer-folk. But perhaps you were mirroring my mirroring by repeating it back in a loop again!
I have to ask, though, did you ever read these aquatic-based tales of mine? http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2905164/ or http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2348881/
I'll try to read your story for Ray, sure.
