This one lives under the bush. The steps leading to the beach are only 3 feet away so he's pretty used to people.

I'm not sure what he eats there. Insects maybe? Or possibly food scraps. This is a popular beach and walkway, and vendors of all sorts of food pass by all day long.

My best friend had one of these as a pet. One of these days I'll make a trip to the southwest to see one in the wild. For now I'm stuck watching tiny lizards only about the size of this guy's tail or smaller running around my porch in the summer.
