Vera La Tiérra

A star in the Liga Baloncesto Furry de Puerto Rico, La Tiérra was drafted #1 by the worst team in the league at the time, the Williamsburg Minutemen.
Most would say they're not so bad anymore.
Agile and graceful, she makes up for what she lacks in strength with flexbility, able to get open shots where there otherwise might not be.
While Vera can, at times, be showy and arrogant, she clearly demonstrated her ability to lead on the floor. As a result, guard Teo Masalia (black panther) elected to give La Tiérra the captaincy of the squad. She joins a short list of Minutemen captains, becoming the first female to hold the honor in their history:

La Tiérra has taken the role seriously this year, to the point where she sometimes became extra-hard on herself for underperforming. She learned quickly, though, that her teammates supported her in the role, win or lose, and that she didn't have to go through her struggles alone. She's determined to lead the team in the way her former teammates Hicks and Jefferson once did.
She has a relationship with her teammate Leonard Mack (Fox, F/C, WIL). The vixen has taken steps to keep the romance quiet, at some points avoiding her boyfriend. However, the vixen has shown to Leonard that she has trusted and loved him more than any fur she ever knew.
Here for the picture, she's wearing the 1980s road uniform. The captain's C, normally on the right side of the jersey, was moved to the left to accomodate the 30th anniversary patch. It will return to the right of the jersey next season.
