So yes, there is actually something else known about the sand dragon Dundoria! During James' early life around, like in his kid and teen years, one of James' best friends was his pet sand dragon, and of course it was Dundoria. James met Dundoria the first time when he was a young child on an adventure. Dundoria was a pet dragon given by a dragon sitter and dragon trainer when James helped raise most of the dragons that needed to be taken care of as a way of thanking him and some of the other helpers for helping to raise and take care of the dragons. James could've chosen a different dragon, but decided to choose the sand dragon instead and name it Dundoria. This shocked all of the others since they don't know how good a sand dragon can be and were expecting him to take a different choice; in other words, they all never encountered or had any experience with one like Dundoria before. The reason why James chose Dundoria was because whenever he was with Dundoria, the sand dragon would always be happy to stay with him and politely comfort him. James knew that Dundoria was not just intelligent for a dragon, but also very loyal and loving towards him, so both their relationship with each other was understood as best friends. So now that we know the story, here is Dundoria cuddling with young James (Probably close to his teen years) and grooming him gently and affectionately with no escape while James is letting Dundoria dote him and is feeling comforted and happy. Also, just for a side note, James bought those golden jewelries and leather dragon shoes or socks for Dundoria.
