She's been living around my place since October. You should see how territorial Northwestern Hummingbird species can get. This little broad won't let anybody near the four whole feeder's I've got running in my backyard. She perches himself where she can watch them all day until dark.

I was hoping she would let me near him, since she doesn't seem to find other birds and creatures to be a threat, only her own brethren. Glad she trusted me enough.

This is a Calliope Hummingbird, and the males have red throats so this is a lil' girl. I love how the poof out to keep warm X3
