It's really bizarre to me to think I've stayed on this website for the past two years, mostly because it's a site that I feel natural using, rather than something with forced upkeep like youtube. Too bad that doesn't correlate to me being consistently artistically active and focused T^T failed that goal I guess.
Edit: it's come to my attention that some things I've done aren't actually up on this site. Said things will be up shortly.
January:
Thanks to school projects I got to exercise my pasttime of black/white shaded doodles, to find that I still like it and was half decent at it. Also some of my first humanish art pretty much ever, and definitely the only example of such I was happy enough to post.
February:
Continuing on my black/white stint, made my Pseudo-Monkey King, which seemed to be semi-popular, which was nice to see. It was one of the first examples of my mask obsession, which is one of my themes now.
March:
Designed and drew up references for the Moor, my race of parasitic/symbiotic fungal colonies. Still one of my favorite creations, although they're difficult to use and make sometimes.
April:
My first completed digital painting for class turned out to be semi-successful, but not nearly so that I'd consider doing again, not without a serious shift in focus. Same month also yielded some creature designs and a character set which fueled my mask obsession.
May:
Some of my first art of Meera posted, creature designs, posted up some 3D work I'd done a few months before. A lot of art done here, but nothing really worth mentioning.
June:
More art of Meera and Tink, trying to establish character designs more. Had birfday.
July:
Did my wurdyburd character design for class, fueling mask obsession as well as giving me YET ANOTHER name to add to my varied plethora of identities.
August:
More humanish art for the sake of school, turns out I can do humanish in colour as well as black/white, but that was pretty much it.
September:
First new icon in two years, wee! [/sarcasm] More wurdyburd and mask fuel.
October:
After about two months of work, finished the 3D character model of the wurdyburd, completing the only 3D model that to date I am happy with. Yay mask fuel.
November:
Overall feeling of 'holy shit I can animu'. Established doodlish, as well as a shading style that's easy for me to do that still looks good. Also worked on colours in my pictures.
December:
Saw The Mist, made another black/white painting, first speedpaint I was ever really happy with. A month later, and have yet to continue said set. Also doodlish'd up some character art to help establish my characters.
Goals for next year:
-Work on doodlish and speedpainting, The Mist series in particular
-get to work on establishing characters and new world project
-3D model enough to get a portfolio and build my skills
-work on colour theory like a madman since I suck.

Pageviews: 1012-730= 282
Watchers: 47-32=15
Submissions: 117-96=21
Favorites: 208-145=63
Summary: less pageviews, less watchers, less submissions, less favorites. I blame college. On the other hand, my faves/art is a lot higher this year, at precisely 3/submission compared to the 1.7/submission I got last year.
