A Mew tail that I made today. It's probably about 3.5' long. It touches the ground when I wear it, and I'm 5'3". It's anti-pill fleece from Joann's. Very soft and cuddly. The tip is firm and the rest is loosely stuffed so it can bend. No wire armature. I'll be making clip-on ears to go with it.
