This was one of randomonlooker's more 'political' songs; he felt very deeply about the workers.
Please excuse my translation, English is not quite the language I grew up using!
Look at what a life the farmer leads.
Day and night he sweats and gains nothing.
He leaves with the stars and returns at dusk,
in winter, drenched and in summer under scalding fire.
Life races by and he doesn't know how to stop it.
His labours fatten the bourgeois;
Of his fruits only a morsel remains,
and for his children...
But for his children the hunger stays.
but you who are the healer of mankind,
give me your sword to bring justice,
give me your grace, don't withhold it!
Free us from this wretched existence.
Deliver us from evil!
It's him singing, I pop in towards the end, heh. Other members of our old quintet appear as well as other musicians.
Enjoy!

Even though I don't think this was written to inflame any latent anarchistic emotions. Though I'm sure that if the occasion arises, be it war or revolution, there will be music to pump up the morale. If it weren't for globalization, I'm pretty sure there'd (or will) be some Syrian superstars known for their involvement, paving the way for whatever future the country will have.
I can tell I enjoy this song by how many times I’ve returned to listen to it. I always try to pick apart the things I enjoy and try to find out what exactly it is that I like about it, like extracting the taste from savoury foods and producing salts of glutamic acid to add to all my food! Comparison gone too far?
I wonder if you had not mentioned the theme of social unrest and said it was about something more mundane like the nutritious value of avocados or professional boxing (as in the occupation of storing objects within box containers), then I wonder if the song would attract me just as much?
Probably so, since the singing is very pronounced and the instrumentation is very… bouncy, which alone is enough capture my appreciation. This is my long and rambling way of saying it was a pleasure to listen to! :D

Haha, perfect, that's my favourite compliment. The nice thing is that your brain works with glutamate neurotransmitters, so you actually form glutamic compounds to add to your comprehension of this music. Maybe serotonin, dopamine, and the countless others as well. D=
Seeing as you probably wouldn't understand the words if I hadn't translated them, I'd say yes as well, haha!
And Italian folk music just makes you want to dance, the instruments are a huge part in that. Thanks for the long and thought out comment!! <3
