THIS piece is one I owed for much a time ago... you remember my entries into the Draconia Chronicles Annual with art by  ChaosCroc ?

Well, it included three dragon characters I made up myself, that I promised  RazorFox a proper pic of all three, as well as a little rundown on each of them

Welp, as promised, meet the Blitzen Sisters, three lightning dragons who operate as a team in the wastelands, often patrolling together, although unrelated by blood, the three consider each other close enough as family, they certainly get on each others nerves as much as family to boot!

Each have very unique talents that either make them massive hindrances or hugely specialised in battle depending upon your outlook...


Stateek:
The kid of the bunch, she's a slow developer, height-challenged, she hasn't even grown her tail out yet!

Small, brash and smartassed with a foul mouth, she's quick to insult and rile up opponents as well as allies alike, then quick to capitalise on their lowered defenses

However, she doesn't have much offensively to take hold of that

Stateek's ability with electricity is a sharp single shock, enough to make the opponent think they got lucky and run, but they are still left with a static charge, one that Stateek can distinguish from the ions in the air and follow, effectively, she has the ability to tag an opponent, will allow them to run, then lead the rest of her pack to the tigers unfortunate enough to have tangled with her!

She often worries about hatchling fat and takes a good deal of pride in trying to make herself look pretty, she just desperately wants to grow up and stop being the kid of the group


Cracker:
Leader by simple default, Stateek is too young and Tonare too introverted to take control, she stepped in and took over from day one, uniting the three together for better or worse

Cracker is known for one thing among the dragons alone

Her big mouth

With a very high opinion of herself, she'll strut into a room and assume everyone else is there just to see her, folding her wings down capelike behind her she'll strut around and bark orders, it's easy to see why few tolerate her

But her mouth has a good use - rather than wield lightning, she concentrates her energy into thunder, and can gather enough disturbance in the atmosphere to create huge, booming thundercracks that she uses sound upon her foes as her weapon of choice, devastating under the right circumstance and concentrated simply by where she points her mouth

She literally WILL talk you to death


Tonare:
The third sister, battle scarred and beaten, she is very tight lipped about her past, little is known other than she is missing an eye and half of her tail tip (strangely enough it's the tail tip she seems more embarrasseed about, wielding a bladed prosthetic on it)

Tonare is big and strong, the muscle of the group, she doesn't like to use elemental magic much at all, to the point she trains herself physically to fight on a level playing field with any tigers, but she's learnt to maintain a cool, detached head that often makes her the voice of reason or deciding vote when her sisters argue

Not to say she doesn't have an ace up her sleeve, her bracelets and anklets contain small traces of zhirite, a rare metal the tigers normally wield to SUPPRESS magic

She wears it herself to resist her own power, then in battle, builds it, pushing her power to the limit before the braces can no longer contain her power, then will release the elemental energy into her punches and kicks with devastating effect

Her name 'Tonare' literally means 'to thunder', often in reference to the rumbling noise caused by her braces whenever she builds power in them before striking



And so we sisters three, a merry band of maurauders and rogue dragons... will we ever see them return to the Draconia Pages again?
