Hippo Fakemon I did for a DA contest.

I'm just going to flat out say it. Hippos are one of my favorite animals. But I don't think of them as the big, playful, cute creatures some may portray them as. I think of them as what they are, one of the worlds toughest, most dangerous creatures. And that's the theme here. I do not make cute hippos. I make nasty hippos. Hippos that not only do NOT look cute, fat, and cuddly, but could pound your face in and teach you the meaning of the word pain.

...This was a risky take, but I tried to do something different and fun. No point in losing if you're not going to have fun losing. And frankly, I've always wanted to see someone draw a really strong, ugly hippo. But I can't find any pictures of hippos that are big and nasty enough.

One more thing of note is that each of them has somewhat of a feminine appearance because females are generally even more aggressive. Despite this, they are more commonly male.

Name: Bullippo (Bully + Hippo or Bull + Hippo)
Type: Water
Ability: Torrent
Description: Bullippo's are quite aggressive. When they come across another Pokemon, the first thing that comes to mind is to battle it.

Name: Uglippo (Ugly + Hippo)
Type: Water/Dark
Ability: Torrent
Description: Uglippo's are strong of smell and generally unpleasant to be around. They are not easy to train, either, and have been known to disobey orders.

Name: Nastippo (Nasty + Hippo)
Type: Water/Dark
Ability: Torrent
Dream World Ability: Revolt (Lowers opponents Sp. Attack)
Description: Seldom do you see a trainer carry around a Nastippo. That's due to they are next to impossible to train, and most trainers can't stand being around them. Regardless, they are freakishly powerful.
