I'm mad.
REAL MAD! ARGH! DOMMMIT!
Most of my collection is used. Particularly, I go by thrift stores, especially Goodwill where they have a flat rate for everything that comes in a disk format (and cheap carts too).
My Sega Master System, Dreamcast, NES, and PSOne (with screen) all came from there as well.
Apparently, this week, someone MOST LIKELY (can't tell for absolutely sure) brought in a Phillips CD-i, because look what I found mint-in-box?
Hell, I can't even find these controllers for sale online to get a estimated price. But, seriously...
DID I SERIOUSLY MISS MY CHANCE ON A CHEAP CD-i? No... NO... I WILL FIND THE... THE... THIEF... AND I'LL... I'LL...
... Wait... I'm getting my BP up for a gaddamn CD-i...

Augh, I know how frustrating that can be. My brother is also an avid collector or vintage electronics; he often scours the thrift and secondhand stores in his searches. He's always telling me about the latest loot that he's swiped for cheap, or about some device that he didn't get because it was overpriced, or broken. So, I have an idea what it feels like to loose something within your grasp.
