765 submissions
It's been... really rough this year. And you can tell what months I had a lot of issues during xD
Here's the list of submissions I used for this:
January (nsfw)
I was pretty busy in January. I remember experimenting a lot with different techniques. This character was used in a Pathfinder campaign with our ex-roommate.
February
This picture was a collaboration between Crash and I. We were seeing how our styles would work out together.
March
I had no colored works for March.. Nothing but sketches. March was an extremely rough month for me. I had no job and became homeless for a short time, so every day was spent looking for a job instead of drawing. I didn't find a job until June.
April
I started to really concentrate on making completed pieces look nice in an attempt to sell dozens of prints and never have to actually find a job and work. Needless to say, that method of making money didn't really work, but I got some very quality art from the experience. This is one of my favorites to this day!
May (nsfw)
Not a ton in colored works in May either. The desperation for a job was wearing thin as Pix was looking to find a new place to live after I got kicked out. However, during this time we started to make some new, very awesome friends, and so I kept pushing out new art as I pushed through the struggles.
June
In late June, I finally found a job. The pressure to turn art into intense labor is off me now for the time being, but it hasn't stopped me from doing it! With this piece, I really wanted to work with a color theme. It was fun and challenging.
July (nsfw)
In July, I started working on Candi Shoppe! A lot of my time was devoted to developing Candi Shoppe and working, so I didn't have much in completed colored works this month either.
August (nsfw)
By August, I was living with Crash before his roomie moved out and Pix and I officially moved in. I had been staying with Crash since our ex-roommate kicked me out back in March. I didn't have any money to give him in thanks, so I decided to make his character an official, solid ref sheet for him to use.
September (nsfw)
Not a lot in September as well. I was feeling outrageously unmotivated in September and was lucky if I could get any sketches out at all. In this month, I brought back a very old character that had a lot of meaning to me in past days. Ever since then, my mind has been active with thoughts and dragons and cool stories.
October
All of October was dedicated to completing my first comic story, Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice, so there isn't much besides that!
November
I spent time in November deciding to finish up old commissions and start new art for myself and Pix. I started experimenting with the colored pencils I've had laying around and I've had fun results!
December (nsfw)
December is not over, so plenty-good or bad-could still happen this year, but for the most part, this year is over. I am very relieved by it and I hope next year will be way better than this year was!
This year has been full of development and improvement on many different levels for me. I'm taking my art more seriously and I'm forcing myself to be challenged and improve as much as I possibly can!
