I love books. Most books, I should say. Certain books (or plays [cough, analyzing Macbeth, cough]) can get really dry.
Sadly, this is the only book big enough for the photo that would stay open (Redshirts, by John Scalzi), and it's a parody of how generic characters die in action-y TV shows (in this context, Redshirts from Star Trek).
Anyway, I just used a desk lamp for this, and lit up a UV filter from behind so that it would from the heart shape. I've seen a lot of different takes on this, so I decided to give it a quick try. Hopefully I can get a hold of a hardcover copy of The Hobbit (my personal 2nd favorite book of all time, my favorite being Old Man's War by John Scalzi).
Taken in RAW to allow adjustment of the white balance. It allowed for a much warmer yellowish color rather than a harsh white.
This is a WIP because I want to try it with a different book.
