A large pain plagued her back side. Gritting her teeth in pain, she fell over onto all fours and grunted, closing her eyes and gritting her teeth. A loud ripping sound filled the bathroom as the seat of her pants split. Something began to snake its way through this new hole in her pants, a tingling sensation running up its length as it attached itself to her nervous system. Rex began to feel her spine crack and stretch, shoving down this new appendage. As she let out a cry, her spine shot from her tailbone, growing vertebrae after vertebrae. Muscle started to stick and stretch around her new appendage. Gritting her teeth and clenching her fists, she grunted and willed the changes to finish. The sharp stabbing pain soon subsided, replaced with a throbbing soreness around her back. Groaning again, she reached up to the counter and slowly pulled herself up to her feet.

Turning her head, she looked back at the new growth and whimpered. Behind her, curled up against the back wall of her bathroom, was a large scaled tail. The same yellow/orange scales that covered her face and shoulders covered its length as well. It seemed that this new appendage had connected to her brain without her knowledge. Willing the tip to twitch, it obeyed and moved. "This couldn't be possible!" she exclaimed in her head. Maybe in stories and movies, but not in real life!
