I love using the textures of walls in real life. They usually have a color or a tint and texture you can't replicate exactly digitally.
This is a bristol and ink drawing of my fursona Derk, who is a Jackal.
I was playing around with his design a bit and enjoyed this bust.

I might just make a reference sheet later with his color palatte.

Unlike my Ocelot fursona, Saadras, Derk has down to earth tones. He's a very Mellow guy but he does tend to be belligerent and hostile when someone messes with him.
