Another of Van's Pokemon, and his most successful case of a rehabilitated Pokemon. Cofagrigus was found as a Yamask during Van's first visit to the desert ruins along with Lenora. Why Yamask is shiny is unknown, due to their unique nature, but Lenora theorizes that the human that she originated from might have been a foreigner or possessed a condition that changed her appearance. She was also a rather fearful sort and was afraid of ghosts, herself! Not really the makings of a good tomb guardian.

However, the tomb-guarding business preferred conformity, so while her uniqueness might have been appreciated elsewhere, it ended up making her an outcast. She was found moping around within the upper levels of the ruins near the entrance and, while she tried to frighten Van and Lenora away, she did a poor job and the two eventually discovered her situation. Van later convinced her to join him on his travels.

The travels did Yamask loads of good and she was an appreciated member of the group. When Team Plasma invaded her former home, Yamask showed Van, Cheren, Lenora and Alder the way to the chamber where the light and dark orbs were kept, a portion of the ruins which had never been discovered. After the other tomb guardians were defeated by Team Plasma, Yamask evolved into a pink Cofagrigus and managed to secure the Dark Orb, though the Light Orb was still taken.

After showing tht she cared about her home as well as how capable she had become, the Master Cofagrigus and other tomb guardians accepted her back into the fold. Faced with this, she and Van part ways, though Van still comes by to visit from time to time.

Cofagrigus is absolutely enamored with Van thanks to the help he gave her and this is normally the expression she makes whenever he comes to visit. Despite becoming a fully-fleged tomb guardian, she is still a very sweet girl.

Yet another pokemon image that breaks conformity for the type. I know I've been giving Van a lot of female pokes, but the rest of his team is male (Excadrill, Panpour, Chandelure), but is rather underdeveloped story-wise compared to the ladies.
