A sample of my writing in a short-form flash fiction.
Flash fiction is generally any story that is longer than 100 words but shorter than 1,000. Most often, it is less than 750 words in length.

Nice idea, good execution as usual, though the demanding homo in me wishes it were a nightstallion instead. :9 I do kind of wonder about some of the word-choices/phrasing though, they seem a bit high-register for a grandparent talking to a trick-or-treat-aged kid.
Also just one quick FYI, Walpurgisnacht isn't a synonym for Halloween. It's actually the night of April 30/May 1, not-coincidentally placed exactly 6 months away from the aforementioned All Hallows Eve. (I only know this because I somehow made the very same mistake awhile back!)

Agreed: I'd prefer a NightStallion, too. But this was for a friend of mine who is a bit more straight in his inclinations. :)
As for Walpurgis Night, I know all about. I wrote it based upon the myths and misplaced legends that I used to hear when I was a kid. Just legends, mistaken legends at that. :)
