I actually researched this before making the comic. And you know what, you're right. Voltage causes muscle spasms (pain), whereas amperage causes muscle contraction (and stops your heart). But under 1 amp can kill you, and that's hardly an impressive number to boast. Also 1,000 volts would really, really smart.
