Staring Contest
What else are two bored diesels to do while on a long transfer? x3 CSX GP38-2s 2704 and 2503 stare into each others' souls on the Q456 manifest freight bound for Waycross, Georgia. (The train was actually being powered by a C40-8W and a Dash 9.)
Looking at these units, you may notice some slight differences! That's because they came from two different orders on the Seaboard Coast Line railroad. Notice the difference in headlight placement, among other things. :3

This is a really cool photograph, and I concur with the others above that it almost looks like it does look like those locomotives are staring at each other! I had to look really closely, but you are right that there are slight differences between the locomotives though the differences are subtle.
I'm glad you like! I am always trying for those artsy shots, though I still shoot 'wedgies' if the lighting is great. x3 Originally, I suspected the 2704 to be ex-Chesapeake & Ohio, due to the headlights being on the cab, but both are ex-Seaboard! (A common trait of SBD's EMDs is headlights mounted over-under in the nose.)
