Sometimes the consequences of our actions are more far-reaching than we may expect...
The Beast has slumbered for a thousand years. Now, at midnight on All-Hallow's Eve, it wakes once more. Judge, Jury, and Executioner, the fate of the human race hangs in the ballance. Will we pass...
... The Test?
Another of Vargr's submissions for the FurFright Con-Books. Wuffy is proud to announce that this was accepted for publication in the 2007 book by the con committee.
Now that the convention is over, Vargr can submit it for the enjoyment of all those who were not so fortunate to attend that fantastic Halloween convention.

Thank you. Perhaps wuffy is just a romantic at heart, but Vargr loved the idea of some appocolyptic doom being turned aside by such a simple moment of trust and charity.
But even more, to be able to tie it back to another act of kindness; to some 'unknown fur' who took a moment to help a child break out of their shell, and who will never know the consequences of that act... that's the 'sweet spot' in this one for wuffy. *grins*
Very glad you enjoyed it!

*huggles* Thank you!
Yep - wuff was "out of circulation" for quite a while there. Got the chance to look in, from time to time, but not enough to post (or write) any new stuff, or really keep up to date the way he wanted to, with the new replies and watches and postings, and everything else going on here.
Thank you! It's really nice to be back "in the fold" as it were, of furry friends. :)

*giggles* Oh NOES! Wuffy has been 'caught out'.
You're exactly right! The bear with the "Santa belly" and the "toothy grin" is Belic's bear costume in this. Wuff had read of his, and others', exploits at entertaining children and other folks at some fund raisers, and such out in the "wilds" of the East.
Thought it might be fun to post a little fantasy about the possible unforeseen consequences of such events. Hope he appreaciated the "cameo". *grins*

Thank you kindly!
Wuff was hoping some folks would feel the dread of what would happen when such a beast emerged from the obscurity of that alley and out onto the busy streets.
And, as you probably noticed, this wuff just has a really hard time not ending with some sort of 'twist' to the story. *grins* Vargr knows he's getting a wee bit predictable with that (predictably unpredictable perhaps? *chuckles*), but its a very hard habit to break.
Thanks again! Glad you enjoyed it!
