This story has been in development for like three months now; work has been slow, and there were several long stretches when I couldn't get myself to do anything. Meanwhile, it's been taking far longer than I expected for events to get done, and at the rate I've been going it looks like it will be as long as the first Hall of Ocean Depths chapter, if not even longer. So I decided that since I've already gotten over twenty pages done and I passed a good intermission point, I'm going to put up the first half or so of the story that I've gotten done to let people know that I'm still making progress.
This story was devised because I felt like I needed to have a story about my Garchomp girl Alice, as well as her friends Margaret and Belle (the latter of whom you may already know from the Elevator story), and this also marks the first time Non has appeared in anything. Alice is organizing a little party for her friends to celebrate the start of summer, but there are complications along the way, from missing ingredients to tense squabbles. This part of the story is mostly set-up and character introductions, the juicy stuff most people want to see doesn't start until the second half, so you're just going to have to wait to see what happens. :PHopefully it doesn't take another three months.
A little critique would be nice here, especially if anyone feels that this drags on for too long.

As far as content goes there isn't any difference, it's just that the .doc submissions require downloading and opening in Word or a similar program while the .txt submissions can be viewed directly on FA; I mostly do it because I personally prefer not to read on FA whenever possible since the text is really tiny and there isn't much spacing, but I'm aware that there are some people who prefer to read on FA or are unable to download and read the .doc files, so I upload those as an alternative. The text versions are for convenience to any who prefer them, while the normal versions are more for viewing them as they were originally intended.
