I sort of resorted back to my old methods of painting (coloured pencil on top of marker and watercolour) as well as some old compositional tricks (swirlies!) which nags me, but I think it turned out well regardless. An extremely fun character design to work with!

my, he is beautiful! swirls are for the win anyway, so there. :)
his hindpaws are among the greatest ever perceived. a lithe body with strong enough muscles to squeeze you dead, yet he looks so soft... the hand gesture is inviting, and show-off the same time. clearly a proud individual. and the wings stand out even more by the lighting. so many artists forget the overbright sunlight above the clouds...

Droll I love your work It reminds on how I really got to get back to traditional mediums, and illustration in general.
The effect of the feathers barbs are absolutely beautifully rendered. Fur direction shading and colour is gorgeous as always. The "S" swirls are interesting touch.

Either way, your watercolor/colored pencil mixed media always looks fantastic!
