(If you like this picture you can COMMISSION ME!)
More or less confirmed amongst those that I talk to that when it comes to sleeping, I'm a bit of an exotic. What people consider nightmares, I considerable laughable. What are my nightmares, most people can't even fathom and are often next to impossible to interpret in normal contexts. An intense differentiation on black and white was what seemed suitable to depict my nightmare fodder.
Tornadoes are my sign of immediate daily stresses. Volcanoes are my deep seeded problems. Skeletons are uncommon, zombies, haunted armor (why won't you die!?!), poltergeists and mummies tend to haunt the various everything in my brain's universe. Maybe they're there to shoot at. No idea. My few successful skills are levitation and "transforming", mostly since apparently I deem myself so incapable in situations like, nuclear apocalypse (or in this case, God smite rays of light death) that being Mewblade is actually a default. Give me a gun and Mewblade's body and abilities to fallback on, and my nightmares can go **** themselves. Can tell I'm a drama queen of immense gloating capacity when it comes to how I think I can handle everything. (Except the twisters. They don't negotiate well.)
Title inspired from the eurobeat song "Sunrise" by David Dima. Actually had been wanting to do something like this for a while, and with no commissions and a deep loathing of predominant furry work and anime in my gallery, I so needed something with a person in it. Not sure why I went with the inks. Initially just wanted more of an American look, and then sort of went overboard entirely. Hate how the twisters came out, but the foreground and the volcano effects make me quite proud. Otherwise, the image looks like a mass chaotic mess as a whole which goes with my inexperience with full black and white images. I'm just going to sum it as a collective of bad 80's nostalgia.
