Been quite a while since I both last used my tablet for something dedicated to personal art as well as a long while since I last drew a non-technical drawing that I am happy with.

This is 'Sam' (stand in name til I eventually decide on his true final name) from my now long running but yet to be published novel as he appears after becoming a dragon. The name Feldwens dread is a name bestowed upon him by those alongside him in reference to his deeds.

Experimented with some different shading and highlighting techniques here. This is so far my first full image drawn entirely within Photoshop CS4 instead of Gimp 2.6 or a hybrid of the two and had no traditionally drawn base sketch (a first for me). I'm a bit out of habit with using the tablet so not all my lines are as smooth as I would have liked.

Still, not bad for an evenings work. I'm offering commissions for images of this nature. Contact for more details.
