to eyelid or not to eyelid?

so we're currently working on resewing the ears on but we're wondering--
row 1: with eyelids
row 2: without eyelids
which one do you guys prefer?
EDIT: Thanks a bunch for the feedback everyone! We've decided to go with the eyelids for more of an expressive feel, but raised slightly higher.

To be honest, there's not a big enough difference. I'd say without since it looks less cluttered.

To me the eyelids give a slightly drowsy feel. Without it seems more intense, focused, fierce at the right angle.. I vote without.
