Just some of the work I did during the second semester of my game art and design course.
Top Left: Tree Elf
With normals applied, the right model shows the mesh. Pretty much a random character I made by throwing a lot of descriptions into a hat.
Right: Dispenser
The assignment called for a machine that exists in the future and dispenses SOMETHING. It was suggested that it be in a rounded-edge box shape, but I said 'fack it Imma make it different >:3' And so I did. Dispenser that refills energy canisters. Looks really dented up because I went nuts with aforementioned normals, because I thought they were so cool u.u;
Backstory: highly advanced government that's very detached from it's people, who grovel in poverty, decide to place dispensers everywhere for 'the convenience of the people' to refill energy cores to fuel their technology. Problem being, the people are so poor they don't OWN any technology that use the cores. Government lets dispensers rust away, releasing toxic waste into the surrounding area, rendering the dispensers more dangerous than helpful.
Bottom Left: Merchant Cart
Assignment that gave us an already drawn reference so that we could model something NOT invented by us. Apparently I was the weird one for putting it into a snowy environment, even though it travels on skis >.>
A collection of sawed-up barrels give the cart storage and shelving, to hold items like potions, scrolls, statuettes and apples. About halfway through texturing I decided I wanted a semi-Skyrim feel, so hence the washed-out colours and snow. :3
Comments and criticism are greatly appreciated on these, I'm aware that I messed up in a lot of places on each of them, but I'm getting better >.>
