As long as his last ref took... this one too just as long. lol But I like this one even better. I must say I am liking his facial expression, even if a happy face is rare for him. :D
HE needs a new name. Feel free to suggest one. I am going to be thinking about it.
Anyway, I was inspired by the discovery of a "strawberry" leopard in South Africa --> http://images.nationalgeographic.co.....36_600x450.jpg
So I thought, wow how beautiful! I wonder what a erythristic clouded leopard would look like.

"D" is a dire leopard, thus why he is so much bigger then his companion bird, a treepie. The scaring and missing outer most toe on his hind left foot is the result of being hit by a vehicle of some sort when he was young. He has had a very obvious and painful limp ever since. The bird - having no name since it is just a bird (or so he believes) and D has ever been given her a name - has been a unwanted companion for some time. She knows that Dorian's injury makes him too slow to be a threat to her. She is most often on his hips or shoulders. His agility was taken, but not his aggression. So D provides protection to her from other would be predators. However they also have a sort of symbiotic nature to their relationship. The bird is able to warn him of things that he might not have otherwise been able to avoid until they were too close. Also, though he would never admit it, he does like having another living being in his life. Something he can depend upon and help keep him sane or in his own routine. He has failed to notice that the bird has lived far beyond a normal treepie's natural age. Again pointing to her being something beyond the normal, just like him.
