The whole time I drew this page I kept thinking of Aladdin's market scene. "FREEESSH FISH! WE CATCH EM YOU BUY EM!"
We have started taking donations to help fund Grayscale. They are completely optional but will make it possible for me to draw more frequently and perhaps even start updating more than once a week :) Thanks in advance to all who decide to help out! Even a little bit count.

I don't mean to sound like a horny jackass. I like romance and Demi and skie have already shown that they can make a comic full of emotions. We already saw Nine goin for Dice and Dice blushing, I think it's a matter of fact before we actually see them together and Nine explaining alot of things to Dice that he should know about that crazy psyco murder dragon. Aka a relationship. If in a relationship u wanna skip the romance/sex part, then sorry to say, you relationship is friendzoned.
I think that comment was made because there hasn't been anything sexual between Nine and Dice yet and this page has absolutely nothing to do with sex :P Nine was not actually coming onto Dice on page 50. He was trying to get under Dice's skin and make him uncomfortable, particularly because Dice is NOT overtly sexual in the least and comes off as about as tactile as a porcupine. Nine would never engage someone sexually like that, he's too much of a softie. As far as sexual or romantic interest goes, there is none between them at the moment. They don't particularly even like each other just yet :P
The subject was only touched upon, but apparently in today's college oriented classes, that is ' Enough ' to pass you.
Murderers are shown to be highly detached from life, and the consequences that are brought forth from the taking of said life.
Or at least, that's what the teacher said.
Tell me if I'm wrong. I'll give you a cookie, and then proceed to get the nearest cattle prod, and shock the man out of his seat of education.

One of my best friends has a PHD in Psychology and my roomie has a minor in it. The one thing they'd both tell you is that psychology is not an exact science by any stretch of the imagination and there are no absolutes. Your teacher made a gross generalization there. So no, not all murderers are detached human beings incapable of connecting to others. It'd be pretty impossible for me to go into all the different cultural factors, motivations and circumstances that make murder a very convoluted act, but it's been a part of the human condition since the dawn of the species and not everyone who's killed another lacked the ability to empathize. I'm not saying that murder is ever morally justifiable, just that it doesn't necessarily mean the killer is actually heartless.
I've heard about documented cases where a man has killed like, 30 prostitutes over the course of several years while he has a wife at home that he loves and adores. When he's finally caught and his horrified wife asks him why he killed those women he tells her it was so he wouldn't ever hurt HER. So yeah I agree, murderers can feel for others. Serial killers have something wired up incorrectly in their brains. I think just about everyone does to some extent or another. Most just are in firm control of it and never dwell on the occasional... impulses. The human brain is extremely complicated. The more complicated something is the easier it is for something to go wrong with it.
I absolutely love two things. One, her color in this page helps the reader realize that she's the phoenix... BUT two, the expression/face features on the phoenix also helps the reader know who she is. Very quick human-phoenix transformation for a single page, but its done so in a way where its not awkward for the reader to try to figure out :)
I don't think he knows which causes the other; whether a phoenix unable to see color cannot assimilate color into his plumage, or a phoenix who is himself gray cannot see color in the world around him. Or perhaps there's no connection between the two at all, and he just happens to be both colorblind and gray (Dice doubts this, he's certain there's a genetic linkage somewhere).
