Farewell to Earth - Ink

This is a work in progress - of the largest and most complicated commission I have ever worked on - at 18"x40" and with 46 characters.. (though I might be adding 2 more since the trees arent inked yet), this is 28 hours of work ^.^ whew! I'm looking forward to doing the color, too...
The piece depicts friends and family of the Chakats, who are having a "Farewell to Earth" party, in an Australian forest clearing, as they prepare to leave the Earth, bound for Chakona... Unfortunately in order to make the scan such as all the characters in the back are easily visible, it would have had to be completely enormous, so this will have to do for the web for now ^.^. I'll be starting color on this pretty soon.

That's just amazing!
TIE MY CHAKAT DOWN, SPORT!
Lol
I...don't have words to express how absolutely fantastic this piece of artwork is. When you've colored, please post the full-size one, because I would LOVE to set this as wallpaper...and I'm NOT on about desktop wallpaper either.
Jeez...extremely fantastic...god...wow...
I'm gonna stop babbling now.
Oh yeh, one more thing. FAVOURITE.
I am extremely impressed. Can't wait to see the finished product!
interesting to see as well.
dont you felt the huge pressure to have them all in the correct size when you have that cluttered space?
It was also kindof sad that I had to put so many characters in the back, and make them small - I cant have them all up close in the front, but I didn't want any of them to be under-represented, so I tried to get emotion and show as much as I could of everyone.
yet the only ones cooking are the bunnies ;)

Nice artwork btw, love the depth of it and all of the characters.
I get all wobbly when I consider you did this within 28 hours. Incredible.
