A commissioned illustration for the Folly story on the Chakat's Den, this is Neal getting smothered by Velasco and Croix, two Rakshani girls... Rakshani are about 7' tall, and have a strong and busty build - I don't think Neal minds the lack of oxygen to the brain he's experiencing at the moment...

And have I ever mentioned tiger stripes are such fun to draw? =)

Nice fur. Quick question: do you add the tiger stripes after the rest of the fur is colored?

Yes I do... I find that if I try to do the stripes first, the black smears into the rest of the fur and it goes all wonky.

That's what I figured, but since I use Prismacolor pencils, it gets a little hard to do fine detail atop a layer of colored pencil.

If you think stripes are fun, think of all the bizarre colours Rakshani come in - brown with white stripes, black with orange stripes, red with brown stripes, etcetera. However, these familiar ones are quite beautiful.

This is probably my favorite picture from Bernard Doove's site, which is where I saw it first. For whatever reason, whenever I see it I always think of the love song in The Lion King. Good Job!

"Mine" "Mine" "Ours?" "Ours" damn Neil gets all the pretty Rakshani, though as old as he is rumored to be you'd think they'd take it easy on the guy, though with the whole "processing" thing perhaps they should've "broken him" instead, but still, I am so jealous of the guy! that gives him what mate number 10 in Tales of the Folly?
