Tha line means that he is a anthro lion since he is born. Originally this comic was mean for people who don´t know what furry is, so they could have think that he was a lycan lion or something. So to make that clear I put that line on him.

Oh okay, I know what you mean. However as an author, one must always never overestimate an audience's capacity for understanding. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who literally are too naive to even know what self-awareness is, let alone what anthropomorphic characters are. I would recommend spelling it out for them plainly, perhaps having him say something like, "My name's Franco, and unlike normal animals, I think and feel like humans do." Or something to that effect, but where you are very flatly illustrating to your readership that Franco is basically a bipedal humanoid cat that has human-level sentience. Anyway, this is of course just a suggestion. I think your comic looks great.
