Yosh wasn't initially too happy about sharing the spotlight with a sibling. Especially one that, after hatching, was even bigger than he was as a two, going on three, year old.
Their first months together were rough. Yosh, hungry for attention, completely gave up on his potty training and would throw tantrums just to get his folks to notice him. This of course backfired as he often found himself getting scolded and/or receiving time outs for "not acting his age" or "not being a good, big brother."
Mr. and Mrs. O'Ducky didn't know it, but their little boy was being coached by another young one who had recently acquired a younger sister himself. This lad being the ever thoughtful Apollo Conure.
By the time Yosh reached his third birthday, he had turned his relationship with his sister, Winry, completely around. Sure he was still annoyed at how she was bigger and stronger than he was and how she always got into his things, but he seldom, if ever, threw a tantrum or did anything too mean to his sister as a result of his frustations.
In honor of the bond they never believed would come, Mr. and Mrs. O'Ducky took Yosh and Winry to the local photography studio to get some cute shots of their tykes happily posed together. This picture here, being considered the best of the lot, was enlarged and placed prominently above the family's fireplace. Here it would stay for decades to come as a constant reminder of Yosh and Winry's bond as inseperable siblings who would always be there for one another no matter what.

Apollo is such a great, lil' guy who is a natural at being a good, big brither. It's no surprise that Yosh would take to his positivity and want to be on the best big brother bandwagon, too! :)
In the future, I look forward to doing more works that focus on Winry and her friendship with Paisley. It only makes sense that Yosh coming over for play dates with Apollo would set the two little sisters up to be great pals, too! :)

I'm glad you find Yosh and Winry cute. They are children to a Yoshi and a Duck and respectively took on specific traits of each parent.
There are other cute works with Yosh and Winry if you care to look. One of my most recent submissions actually has them paired up just in time for Spring. :)
