This is the first of what will eventually be like 12 or 13 (I forget how many) pencilwork pieces for a game called Winterhaven. :) One example page for each race in the game, showing what one of that kind of person would look like! :)
As it was explained to me, the Avyana are very slightly built and yet athletic, with regal bearing but a slightly skittish look to them...hopefully I conveyed all that pretty well. :) It was requested that this be done as if he were giving a speech or otherwise engaging in the fine art of politics or some form of diplomatic debate. I had fun with the pose and the feather-hair!!! The feet were the hardest to get right, though...had to look up lots of Cassowaries and Imus to get them to look decent! :)

Final Haven (www.FinalHavenLARP.com) is a LARP held in Michigan (typically just South of Kalamazoo, Michigan) that is a high-fantasy-style LARP.
On a plane/world called Phanterra, there are many races and cultures, but a recent cataclysm has thrown the world into chaos, and societies are sort of trying to be rebuilt from the ground-up!
There are currently two chapters of the game (the original Final Haven, and Winter Haven) that use the Final Haven rules mechanics.
It is also a boffer-style LARP, meaning that we use foam weapons and wear costumes. Most events take place over a weekend (Friday night until Noon on Sunday.)
Avyana are just one player race available (there's the usual Humans, Dwarves and Elves, along with others like "Beastmen" who were humans who were altered by the Cataclysm to become partly animal, and Tsunotaur who are large horned, burred minotaur-like creatures, Ga'vin who are sort of war-minded goblin-folk who burn themselves in trials of fire, and more.
The Avyana themselves are actually a very ancient race in the World, predating even the Elves and Dwarves, and most certainly the Humans. :)
