Tonight, WhiteWizard (WhiteFire) / Bohmayu had me punished for their misunderstanding of my intent of spoken words in a public scene.
The player of Bohmayu was excessively sensitive to an earlier interaction where I was RPing and Torakhan was trying to find a way for Bohmayu to be freed from her slavery, and was yelled at OOCly and told I was kink-shaming her. The player apparently is too lost in the character to separate IC from OOC. But I said "okay". I figured they would just use the "ignore" command like most people do on Taps when they don't want to see/hear from someone and move on.
Then, tonight, in a conversation in public, Torakhan reacted to her words and spoke generally about what a Slave is. Within seconds I was punished/sent to the stockades for a 7-day lock-down.

I was going to initially just take it, but then WW showed up, so of course I started to ask questions. I was already guilty--no warning, no question on my part. They knew what had happened faster than the player would have had time to send them the request IMO, so it seems either Bohmayu is an alt of WhiteWizard, or they were fed information from Bohmayu's player after hastily sending the ban request, and acted without any questioning. In the document you can see the reasons shift around for why I was punished; Somehow I was kink-shaming (which I wasn't), that I was interacting with her (which I wasn't), and then that a post 10+ years ago second-hand with a warning was enough to give them the fodder to Toad my character of 22 years. They were too dense to get past whatever hang-ups they had.

Though, honestly, I was there more for the RP than any of the BDSM that the MUCK is supposedly built around. Most of Taps was OOC online friend relationships for me, so that's what hits the hardest, and I wasn't able to tell any of them what happened.

Then I found out that White posted his "reasons" publicly.
Tapestries is a private server, a private game, and those in charge have the right to accept and ban whoever they wish. However, to post libelous defamation and declare the reasons for my actions falsely is NOT okay with me, and I am considering my options.

So the character account for Torakhan is gone from Taps. I'm still around, and I'm moving on to other places with the character.
