So I named the ship! I called her the Raven, figuring she works for the future version of the CIA, for black ops and espionage missions against an as-yet undecided enemies. Probably against space-furries, or somesuch...
A little explanation of my figuring for the design: Built around a central Gauss Rifle, with internal missile bays for extra firepower (Or in the case of the Raven - Launching mission-specific vehicles or munitions) The vessel has limited atmospheric capability, being able to enter a planets atmosphere and infiltrate/exfiltrate operatives, but otherwise being almost completely combat ineffective in atmosphere due to her size, weight, and aerodynamics of a slightly smoothed brick. A pair of rear stabilizers on the back fold out for when the thing actually needs to fly. DISCLAIMER: I'm not an aeronautical engineer. I have no clue if this design would actually fly.
Yes, the engines have "Intakes" but not for air. Was figuring some type of radiators are hidden under there, to help cool the reactors during high workload. If they start getting REALLY hot, I figured there would be some type of liquid/gas sprayed onto the radiators, which would fly out the back (And take the heat with it!) Another DISCLAIMER: I'm not a scientist!
I painted her black for one simples reason: Space is black! As a combat ship, she would sport some type of camouflage, both visual or otherwise. If I want to blend in to space, and space is black, I'll also go black! The red is there solely for style purposes...and to give you something to look at other than a black square! I've never understood why spaceships in sci fi's are painted white or grey or red or any colour that would actually STAND OUT and make them easier to target visually.
Where's the cockpit? Deep inside, and covered under some thick plates of armour. So it doesn't get blown off by a lucky shot (Probably the first shot, if most sci fi ships are to be concerned)
Why did I make this? Because I can! Actually, scratch that. I probably can't. I've never done 3D modelling before IN MY LIFE. And I'll be damned if I could find a decent tutorial. I just poked buttons until it did what I want!

Heh, I had trouble even ADDING the colours! I'm not sure if there's a specific way of doing it properly, but I certainly didn't find it! Heh...But its all cool. I like the results!
I reckon it'd pack a hell of a punch, but due to the size (I figured her to be about the size of a modern day Frigate... probably weighing in about the same too) I reckon a single aerospace fighter would tear her apart due to lack of agility and point defense weaponry...
I'm working on a mainline combat version that would address that weakness with turrets and the likes, for use by the regular branches of the military...

Thats true, but if somebodies already got a firing solution good enough to peg her with a gauss round, chances are its already too late to launch countermeasures.
I will consider adding countermeasure launchers. Most likely the frontline military variant will be sporting them...

There will definitely be uparmoured versions (Most likely in an aplique armour style similar to current military), as well as toting new and improved weapons. But for heavy weapons and the likes, probably have to go for something bigger. Was figuring this was just a Frigate sized vessel, with much larger beasts existing...
i'd want to play a games based around the warships of ME fighting reapers
like you can play a couple shorter campaigns based around which class you start as with the chance to edit your ship between mission
and upon completing all campaigns you unlock a reaper campaign and if you get all the unlocks you can use a reaper in the main champains

Heh, thanks. It would have been entertaining if I could have recorded some of the expressions of shock, grumpiness, and frustration (And all the expletives that went with it!) that went along with figuring out what could only be described as a bass ackwards clusterfuck of random buttons that make up the GUI...
