I'm teaching my partner in crime the art of building fursuits and yesterday we took some photos of how his first suit is coming out. So exciting!! He conceptualized a spotty border collie and I guided him through the process. We worked out a new form-fitting digitigrade pattern and it fits like a glove. Seen here with my akita's head and feetpaws since his collie ones aren't done yet - he'll look way more bordercollieish when he's done.

A lot of places call it shaggy mongolian, it's very soft but has a pretty thin backing when you hold it up to the light. I love it though, and use it on a lot of projects.
