Finished this one last night! Rather detailed commission for a 6" x 9" canvas board, but I got it in there! Framed by lovely trees, grass and flowers.

The background was done with twinkling watercolors, which means that in certain lights and angles, it glistens, in others, you can see tiny reflections of light that give this a magical feel. The figures and picnic basket were done in copic marker with a little gel pen (I need to expand my collection of gel pens... I'm very slow to adopt new techniques and tools... I've had that gel pen for two years. :D :D)

Ferric, the grey/red Fox on the left is having a picnic with the gold fox, Filaire (my own). Commission is so everyone can see her, especially Ferric, smiling and having a good, peaceful time instead of the one she's enduring in Darius right now! ( http://cyantian.net ) She's become a rapidly loved character once her motives were revealed... even if she's on the wrong side. :D

I am very proud of how nice this turned out, because I rarely get the time to do pieces this detailed.
