Some makers will make it where they can affect your walking, but some just put padding on the legs in such a fashion that it does not affect your leg and foot placement at all. It just gives the illusion of otherwise. My legs are actually the latter, they are simply padded to fool the eye. As such, no awkward standing or walking. ^_^
