Tabaxian is gone for like, one minute before it starts this time.
It isn't really any sort of new argument. I don't have anything new to say and neither does mom, so we just yell at each other louder than we did last time, and last time was already pretty loud. Dad's ghost doesn't even say anything anymore.
I'm not even sure I have an argument any more. I just don't want to marry him. Can't they find someone else? Anyone? I know our family is almost dead but. I mean I know marrying into Tabaxian's House would basically make everything better, but.

Oh no yeah they can. It's a pretty serious deal though! Sabhaxlia is the last of her family line, ok. If she leaves, that guarantees they'll be no one left alive to take care of the family tomb. She'd be dooming generations of ghosts to oblivion, and she can't really bring herself to be that selfish yet. Maybe.
She's seriously considering it though. But it's hard to have the oblivion of hundreds of family members on your hands.

Well! I think you're putting yourself far too much into this setting! If you had been born and raised a tombdog you wouldn't be you, so you wouldn't think so terribly of it!
Of course if you were in the tombdog setting you might not be a tombdog at all, and you still might think their culture was totally whack.
