Just wanted to practice a different approach to greyscale work. It was a lot of fun!
This however did take a long time. Like close to 2 hours. Then again I'm a slow artist. Can't just pump out decent art all the time like some ;..;

Interesting, so this is the scale design you're trying out...hmmm if you look at only the scaled sections it looks quite good, you put them in right spots too...it'd look funny if the whole head was the pattern but no, I'd ike to see this on an overall body drawing to see the zoomed-out view.
when I went looking for scale patterns I used some of Chromomancer's brush sets for PS http://chromamancer.deviantart.com/.....lery/#/d39exlp he's got a few. Just throwing it out there.
