Along the modern highway through Petit Jean State Park, is the old roadway from the CCC days. The Civilian Conservation Corps did alot of work building State Parks and other beatiful places all over the US.

There are pleanty of places just like this that you cannot see from roadways, that lie forgotten and cloaked in earthy tombs of forrest and shrub.

One of my special joys is finding these places and exploring those places where -- ahem -- man has been before and nature hath reclaimed or nearly so.
