Trying to apply some ideas about painting from this last weekend to these little D&D faeries I had around, as a warm up for some more work I want to do later this week.

Were quicklings good aligned in the original D&D setting? In Pathfinder they are vicious little brutes

Just curious...thought Grigs had 4 arms (or 4 legs) for a total of six limbs...like an insect.

The insectile look they gave to the grigs was one of the best ideas re: monster visual design in 3e. Nice rendition of that!

One of our old party's used to have a bard that had a special lute. The damn thing would summon elven creatures when played. Sometimes we'd get some angry drow or elves who was compelled to drop what they were doing and find the bard to demand a song. Most of the time though, it summoned a small swarm of grig, who'd have a lovely concert where they'd get rowdy and crowd surf.
