Snow blew through the chilly night air, as the freezing ground crew hastened to direct the massive jumbo sitting with engines idling. On this night there was one extra crew member, a feline that towered over even the enormous airplane. His large tail swung through the air like a sword, brushing snow from the black tarmac in a flurry of fluff and white powder. The last remnants gone and the runway clear, the huge snow leopard smiled down at the aircraft and the miniscule pilots inside, one of whom gave a wave of thanks for allowing them to take off. The snow leopard stepped back obligingly, and the engines roared as the plane shot off down the unobstructed runway, delivering another weary group of tourists back into the night sky.
You may recall in Dec 10/Jan 11 there was an enormous amount of snow dumped on Europe, forcing the closure of many airports, including Heathrow. Well yours truly decided he could help the thousands of people stranded there, and went over to put in some volunteer work, clearing the runways of snow (with what else but my multi-purpose tail of course). :3
