Hey guys I typically don't like doing this but this was something that came unexpected and I wanted to reach out to the Furry Community to see if anyone would be willing to help out my pup.
Last night I had noticed Charlie was feeing sick, he was acting unlike his normal bouncy self. His behavior cause me some concern so I ended up taking Charlie to the vet and that's when I found out he has Heart Worms. For those of you out there who know what this is know how terrible and serious this can be for dogs who are not treated immediately. Thankfully he was only in the early phase of the disease tho he's still not "out of the woods" so to speak. Charlie will begin his medical treatment on January 17th and it will last about 3 months with 2 medical treatments before all this is done.
Like I stated earlier I really don't like posting stuff like this but those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting Charlie in person know just how sweet a pup he is and the reason I am posting this was to ask if any one was willing to help donate towards his medical expenses. The vet bill for him came out to $1350.00 and it hit me kind of hard this month, this was just an amount I had not budgeted for an expense. Any donations would help me out.
I will have a donation Jar at FC for him too, for those who are going.
Please send any donations via PayPal to: orville2[at]aol.com
FYI any one who donates more than $10 will receive a set of the Hodges Pond political buttons. Thank you very much.

Thanks B-Hop I appreciate it. He basically had the Canine equivalent of the same thing I had my scare of in June. It kills the host the same way. Lack of oxygen in the blood. The timing of this was just terrible too. I almost had to cancel my FC trip but the Vet said he was in an early phase and it should be preventable. The $1350.00 vet bill sorta threw me for a loop. Not something I had in my budget and I have to do another $350 next month but at least I know that one is coming. Thanks again B-Hop and Charlie thanks you too. Ill let you guys know how it all goes. He has a vet appointment Tuesday Morning January 17th.
Thanks Fibre, I appreciate you. Yeah I got a good scare today from the vet. I took him in for some pain he was having and the Heart Worm test came back positive. Thankfully it seems to be in the beginning stages and treatable. Poop pup has the canine equivalent to the same thing I had this year. The disease in a dog will have the exact same affect as Congestive Heart failure in a human. The Vet began to explain to me what could happen if not treated (fatal) and I already knew what he was talking about based on what my doctor had told me. Your donation will help out a lot *hug* I pray that your kindness and generosity will return to you 100 fold. *hug* Thank you, Charlie and I appreciate it. The vet said he feels Charlie would be ok since he was not showing any symptoms yet. It was by a mere fluke I caught this.. Like I said I originally took Charlie to the vet because of some pain he was having unrelated to the Heart Worm issue.
It ended up being quite expensive but I think you know, Id do anything for Charlie. I will let you know how things go. I need to drop him off at the vet on the 17th (when I get back from FC) for like 2 days then he has to do 1 more treatment in Feb (thats gonna be another $350).
Anyhow, thank you again Fibre I appreciate you. *hug*

I wanna help too, I have German Shepherd tails you can sell for $20.00 a piece, I think I have five of them. I also have 5 boxes of glow wrist bands that can sell for $5.00 each also towards Charlies donation. Its partially an effort on your end but shouldn't be if its being sold completely for your dogs health.
Truthfully i was going to sell them myself, but deep in my soul I'd rather help your dog cause I just love German Sheppies. see you this Saturday, BARK!

Aww you're very kind to help, thank you. All you guys have been so awesome. Words can never be enough to say thank you. everyone here has been so kind and supportive. Its really made me consider my blessings. I never knew how supportive the fandom could be. I am truly humbled and honored to know such wonderful people. Thank you.. *hug* we can talk more at FC if thats something you wish to do. I know you have a soft spot for German Shepherd (so do I) I appreciate ya Bark and I know Charlie does too,
I did a recount, I have only 3 tails. plus the 5 15 count glow bracelets.
You can sell each German Shepherd Tail at $25.00 each and each glow stick package at $5.00 each it round out at $100.00 as a donation towards Charlie's treatment. I am not sure when I will be there but I come late though, maybe around 11:00 am if things go right.
I have my old Fur-suit but I need to get my head some fans put in so i don't die of heat stroke, I'd love to parade around in it for Charlie's benefit as well with a tip jar in hand too. But I can only do so much Balto. Time too short for me to work on it =(

*hug* Bark you are the best. I am at a loss for words on how to even beging to express my gratitude. I am just amazed by the kindness ive experienced through this. I honestly had never experienced this side of the fandom. I am both humbled and grateful I consider myself honored to know such wonderful group of caring and wonderful people. Again thank you do very very much.
*hugs* I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how hard it must have been for you. My heart about sank when the doctor told me what Charlie had. I don't know if you have seen pictures of heart worms but these are a terrible thing. I hope your pup feels Better soon too.
Aww poor pup I'm glad to know your pup has such a wonderful caring friend. I have the same close relationship with Charlie. He's more to me then just a pet. He's a very close friend. I worry about him alot and when he got sick despite the $1350 cost I knew I still had to be there for him. Thanks again and I pray for your pups health to improve soon. :)
Thank you I appreciate you very much and I know Charlie does too. I have been deeply touched by the responses I gave received to help Charlie. I am truly deeply touched. Words are just not enough to say thank you. *hug*. You gave from the heart and that is alot in my opinion. :)
