Looking pretty good! Some advice I'd give is try constructing the poses with S curves, it really makes them fluid~ Good work though :3

*nods* I try especially when I do the gesture studies but it just... Never seems to work with me :C

I always find it too difficult to represent sometimes what is a really complex pose with the arms and legs going all off with just one line xD

I've seen tutorials on how to use the gesture/curve approach but they are always so basic and don't tackle difficult poses x..x

thats true, they dont tackle foreshortening and such with it. Either way, these are a vasy improvement :3

Watched a few today that were helpful. Was on about using negative space as well to quickly form shapes for 30 second gesture drawing. I used to put waaay too much effort into them at the expense of getting good flow x3

Maybe try using long curves to start the piece, then sketch over top the finer details.

looks good but standing female pose with the legs apart looks a bit weird. The upper body doesn't seem to match the lower body in that perspective. Particularly the shoulders and hips don't seem to match, meaning not that they don't look the same since generally the female body has hips as wide or a bit wider then the shoulders.

It might be something else entirely but that one pose just doesn't look quite right to me.

The rest of them look pretty good to me. Yay for no anti gravity boobs!

Yeah that pose was fucking weird. I laughed when I saw it pop up but tried to tackle it because I knew it was something weird and unique. Possibly the way I drew the leg/torso join makes it look odd. I dunno x3

And hey that's the only way to get better! Find something new and weird and do your best! That's why unique characters can be fun for artists, gives them practice with something different!


actually think I'm gonna start sketching up gesture poses to get practice in since I don't really get enough of that done.

*nods* I tend to fuck up proportions most I've noticed when I feel I don't have enough workspace. I cram it all in at the expense of good proportion work x3

Must try and undo that :P
