A bunch of (black ballpoint) commissions I did to try out the inkling. I might take ballpoint pen sketch commissions later, they're fun and I do them pretty fast because I can't erase anything!
To be clear: These are scans of the original ballpoint drawings, not the digital versions (hence it's listed as traditional)

These were 5 euro for headshots and 10 for full body, but they were discount prices because I wanted to experiment (and fund the inkling) with them. They normally cost more.
And yeah, the originals are still here, just sent out a high-res scan and the digital inkling file.

It's because these are scans of the originals ;)
The quality of the digital captures varies. Pressure sensitivity works fine for me though, but I lack the software to edit those drawings. They don't show light-dark shading, but the variation between thick and thin looks really nice.

Uh if that isn't clear, with light-dark shading I mean when a line goes from light to dark. I'm not sure though if you can get it to do that, since it does save the pressure sensitivity. It's just in the inkling sketch manager it looks a bit odd, when you export it it looks better already. It's like drawing with a black pen, not a ballpoint pen.
Gotcha, that makes a lot of sense, and I guess that's just how it is. Mine kind of looks like that too, just black/blue ink lines vs. an actual "pen" look. Thanks for clarifying! I mistook the scans for actual Inkling output and thought maybe mine was broken. The other issue I'm having with my Inkling is that it seems to take awhile to start up... I'll be halfway done with my sketch before the unit starts to capture :(
I had that startup problem too. Strangely enough after a while, all of a sudden it worked like a charm! I have NO clue why that happened, all I can think of is that one time I tried taking the ink cardridge out and putting it back in again. With all of these drawings I didn't have that problem anymore, it goes on standby after half o minute but after a very light press it turns right on again. (I just press it right next to the reciever so it doesn't register that)
Maybe try taking the cardridge out an in? I am totally clueless but at least it's good to know yours did the same! Hope it will work out for you too.
